swastika illegal to display here in the Netherlands, no swastikas on wings or fuselage on german ww2 planes.... only on the tail. exept for the ww2 finnish airforce they had swastikas on the wings and fuselage,

G-14? Hmmm don't think so... wrong rudder unit and missing serial 'erla-hood'. Looks pretty much like a common early G-6 to me. Any versions from late G-6s up to K-4 (and into prototypes) had the 'erla-hood' (nickname galland-haube).

From what I remember G-14 was indeed G-6 with the new engine but also a standarization model of G-6s which varied in details from each other depending of manufacturer.

In Europe, only in Germany is the swastika illegal. Besides, the symbol is NOT blotted out in Europe. Don't know where you got that from ?

The swastika is visible at the top of the tail, thats where the location of the sign had to be. Some airplanes had it on the wings or on the body depending on certain models and\or country. It was a daimler benz (Mercedes-Benz) who provided the engine until the late model when BMW took over.
ignatius is right, without the swastika the picture would be inaccurate.
I went to an air show last sumer and one guy had it flying over us and had the swastika under the wings and it was impressive.

I mean, without the swastika, the picture would be inaccurate. Sorry!

I like the picture very much. Thanks Tigerkaetzchen. I also like the Me 262 jet picture. Texas, just enjoy the picture as a picture, and not get too dramatic about the swastika. Just take it as part of history. If it was without a swastika, the picture would be accurate.

Very nice shot of the business end of this machine. I also notice that there is a swastika on the tail. That symbol is usually blotted out in Europe. Maybe its even illegal!
