This aircraft was on sleek looking bird, but it was a mechanic's nightmare......it used it's weight in parts a year.

I understand that the 'Hustler' required a light, but continual, 'touch' to keep thrust 'synchronized' between the engines! Without this type of attention, the place had a nasty 'yaw tendency' - esp. at high-speeds!

A very short lived aircraft, was built for one job, Delivering the Atom bomb, and after the ICBMs were developed and perfected, the B58 wasn't really needed, they tried to use it for recon/photo work but just couldn't get it to work the way it was needed. beautiful aircraft tho
