Not to mention that first Russian winter. Or the fact that 70% of the land war in Europe was fought on the Eastern Front. Or that Mussolini invaded Greece without informing Hitler of his intentions. Greece fought back and were about to defeat the Italian Army when Hitler realised that he had to step in in order to save Mussolini. Hitler then invaded Greece to save Italy, this campaign took 4 weeks. That put the invasion of the Soviet Union behind schedule for 4 weeks. Four weeks that took the German Army into a Russian winter which it otherwise wouldn't have had to deal with. All thanks to Mussolini. These things and many other things contributed to Hitle's defeat.
