got to see these beautiful aircraft when they rolled out the door ,brand new . when i was just a little boy growing up right here in Louisville Ky , Curtis Wrights Aircraft plant was right down the street from where i lived at in Louisville ky i lived at 4641 Crittenen Drive ,Curtis Wrights Aircraft was about 4 blocks down the street from our house:" they also made several other fighter planes such as the Curtis - P-41;the Tiger Shark the Spitfire the P-4o... ,all these planes were very very fast , Gruman Aircraft ,, COMPANY was just a few blocks east on Preston Hyway in those days also ,they built several heavey torpedo bombers type fighter planes ,they made several planes there:" ive set all day long and watched these airplanes take off and land at the old stanford feild airport . lots of them had different markings on them , and were just beautiful things ,with all of those pretty colors on them ,some were shiny and would just glisten in the sunlight , i also worked at the Howard ,Hughes aircraft plant in Vinice Cal, where we built the hughey cobra choppers for vietnam war .and ive worked for the transco electronics also in culver city cal, makeing different parts for alkinds of war planes , that were to be used in vietnam also. big bad choppers too, jt lou ky ,
